I have a genuine curiosity to understand people’s inner worlds, and I love to support groups in sharing their personal stories in ways that feel fun and supportive.
Navigating Conflict: I can guide your team through interpersonal conflict so you can focus your energy on doing the work that inspires you. In over a decade of being co-director of a youth community center in Oakland, I have experienced every imaginable conflict, and I have witnessed the powerful group cohesion that emerges after a conflict has been managed well. I know how to be a calm, grounding presence to get everyone back on the same page.
Strategic Visioning: I have the experience of co-founding an organization and supporting over 100 youth in launching their own social enterprise projects. Whether you are an emerging organization or a group who needs to shift your focus, I can guide you through a collaborative process of creating a mission and vision, articulating your core values and creating a plan of action that you will actually use.
My Focus Areas
Emergent: I make a thorough plan for our time together and invest energy in creating genuine buy-in from everyone participating. And, I constantly attune to the needs of the group and am ready to pivot whenever necessary. My goal is to get you to where you want to go and not to be rigidly attached to completing the original plan.
Engaging: Nothing is worse than wasting precious time being talked at or being put to sleep by a powerpoint presentation. I prioritize active participation and hold the container for the wisdom in the room to emerge. I employ a wide array of activities and modalities that are accessible to various learning styles and abilities to keep you energized and present.
Effective: I will deeply listen and work to understand the root of your challenges and needs and work with you to make sure I can meet your goals. It brings me great satisfaction to help you create lasting positive change so you can increase your capacity and do your work in a way that is more fulfilling and sustainable.
My Approach
I am located in the Northern San Francisco Bay Area. I have limited availability for local, in-person gatherings and can also work remotely. My sliding scale fee is $200 - $300/hour. Contact me to discuss how we can best collaborate.
